"Bear" tries out my comfortable recumbent seat. Aaaaaahhhhhhh......

This year the ride was unusually cool and windy. The temperatures moderated between 65 and 80 during the day, while the nights got down to a brisk 45 degrees. The wind was relentless, gusting day after day and several nights too. Tailwinds were wonderful, but crosswinds often pushed us off the road or into traffic.

Most cyclists completed the ride. Some took a day off to recover from fatigue, but I rode every mile. My only ailment was sore achilles tendons.
