SF to Santa Cruz (May 31)

The huddled masses yearning to breathe free.

Lori Jean encouraging us to be safe. (Wild applause)

The tandem recumbent yearning to bike free.

6:00 A.M. Finally, we begin by filing out through the narrow Cow Palace gate. Squeeeeeeeeeezzzzze!

Summit of Route 92, Santa Cruz Mountains.
Fog and strawberries, what a combination.

Cool machines. A Ti Rush recumbent (mine) and a recumbent trike (red).

Lunch at San Gregorio State Beach, and the climb right after on Route 1.

The Rest Stop crews were celebrating everyone's birthday.

Pies of every kind for the hungry cyclist. Boy, was I getting full.

Rest Stop 4's wrestling skit. The windiest place on the coast.

Our first night camping in Santa Cruz.

The gear trucks lined up with care.
